We offer many Bible study opportunities throughout the week to connect with other believers and grow together in God’s Word.

Pastor Chris teaching

Pastor Chris teaching Sunday morning adult Bible class

Below is a listing of our regular Bible Studies offerings:

PASTOR'S BIBLE CLASS

Pastor Chris teaches Adult Bible Class on Sunday mornings, 9:30am (except some holiday weekends), in the Sanctuary. Learn more about Biblical peacemaking in our class series, Conflict: Reconciliation vs. Resolution by Ambassadors of Reconciliation. Conflict is an unavoidable part of life in a sinful world. But how do Christians approach conflict differently than the rest of the world? Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).  Materials are free. Bring a friend—or foe!

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Our lay-led Women’s Bible study meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:30am in Room 2 for fellowship and study. Our next study is the JAMES ~ How Faith Works. The book of James is a practical guide for living a faithful Christian life, emphasizing that true faith must be demonstrated through actions. It parallels Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and acts as a New Testament book of Proverbs, offering wisdom on topics like enduring trials, the importance of prayer, controlling one’s tongue, and living with genuine compassion for the poor and needy. James stresses that works are not a means to earn salvation but are the evidence that a person has been transformed by it. Materials will be provided, if interested contact Jane Lenz or Gayle Jones.

SECONDARY SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Epiphany will offer a new Bible study alternative to Pastor’s class on Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:30 am, beginning August 16th. Class meets in Room 1. In this 6-week study we’ll look at short video clips of sites in the Holy Land and see how the area and historical context will change our American perspective on key Old Testament stories.  The different weekly themes illustrate how God guided his people to a specific place – the Promised Land – to impact the world both in ancient times and today. Just like the time and place of our birth shapes our journey, so the land and culture of the Hebrew people shaped their story.  The Promised Land provides wonderful context to the stories of that time.  The format consists of discussion and reflection on Scripture passages explored in the videos. Class will be led by Steve Hakes who has studied theology and has been to the Holy Land.  Discover how God guided His people then and how He guides His people today.
