As Lutherans, we believe that Baptism is a wonderful gift and miracle of God’s grace, in which we are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit through water and the Word (Titus 3:5-7). As Jesus says, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved…” (Mark 16:16). And as St. Peter writes in his epistle, “Baptism… now saves you…” (1 Peter 3:21). As such, we baptize infants, children, youth, and adults into the Body of Christ.

Baptisms are normally scheduled for the first and third weekends of the month at the worship service of your choice: Saturday, 5:00 PM; Sunday, 8:00 AM or 11:00 AM. Pastor also requires a meeting with families 1-2 weeks prior to the Baptism in order to discuss the meaning and significance of Baptism, the role of Christian parents in teaching the faith to their children, and to do a “dry run” of the Baptism service in the Sanctuary.

In order to schedule a Baptism, please contact Pastor Chris in the church office: 303-688-4435 or by using the Contact Sidebar on this page.

In an emergency, any Christian may baptize another person by applying water, speaking the person’s name, and saying, “(Name), I baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen” (Matthew 28:19-20). Baptisms not performed in the public worship service should be reported to the Pastor for acknowledgement and joyful celebration.
