Youth ministry at Epiphany is for youth in 6-12 grades, and our goal is that the youth at Epiphany will know Jesus Christ as their Savior. We aim to nurture the faith of our youth and to connect them with their families, caring adults, other youth, and the congregation as a whole. Parents are the primary influence on the faith of their children. Therefore, Epiphany’s youth ministry strives to partner with parents to empower and equip them to nurture faith in their homes.

Each week we offer Bible study classes for middle school and high school students on Sundays at 9:30 in the Youth Room. Youth Group takes place on the second Sunday of the month from 12-3 pm during the school year. Weekly confirmation classes are also available for middle school students during the school year. In addition, we have monthly youth events and various trips and retreats throughout the year.

Questions regarding the youth ministry and upcoming events can be directed to Karin Meissner, our Youth Ministry Director, at

Summer Youth Calendar

Our summer youth calendar is now available! Check it out here and put the dates on your calendar so that you can plan to attend.

LVR Catechism Retreat – June 25-28

The annual Catechism Retreat for ages 10-high school is June 25th-June 28th, 2018, at Lutheran Valley Retreat (LVR). Enjoy outdoor activities (archery, hiking, sports, and more), daily worship and devotions, and study of Luther’s Small Catechism. This summer’s focus is on the Ten Commandments and God’s Ordered World. Confirmation students are STRONGLY URGED to attend. Cost is $125/camper (Epiphany will be covering $75/camper). Find more info, including registration link, at Ask Pastor Chris with any questions. We are looking for a couple of parents to chaperone too – if you are interested, please talk to Pastor Chris.

4th of July Parking Fundraiser – July 4, 7:30-10:00 pm

We will once again be opening up our parking lot for fireworks parking as a fundraiser for the youth. We will need a couple of families who are willing to help out that evening. We also need help ahead of time with advertising – sharing in Facebook groups, sharing on NextDoor, and making posters to put out on Wolfensberger. If you are available to help with any of that, please let Karin know. Also, if you have any lawn games that we could use that night, let Karin know.

Movie – Ant Man & The Wasp – Sunday, July 8, 12:30 pm

Join us for an afternoon at the movies! We will eat lunch at Firehouse Subs before going to see Ant Man & The Wasp at 1:30. A carpool will be available from church for those attending the 11:00 service. Cost for lunch & the movie is $15 (bring extra if you want popcorn or snacks at the theater). RSVP to Karin!

Sunday Morning Youth Bible Study

The youth Sunday morning Bible study will be taking a hiatus for the summer. Youth are encouraged to either participate in the summer musical or attend Pastor’s Bible Study. His class will be studying the pastoral epistles – 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus.
